Hi, Stacy: Just wanted to thank you for helping us plan what
turned out to be a fantastic 50th anniversary family celebration!!
Kids were all impressed how we all arrived within an hour from
3 different states – flights were early AM but no one complained
getting up around 3:00!! Renting the car was a bit PIA (oops)
but all finally worked out with no problems. The Trade Winds Resort
was GREAT - after I got over the initial shock of not all on same
floor (2 on 7th, 2 on 6th) – the staff there was so nice
and even sent wine & cheese tray for our anniversary. Everyone
enjoyed sunsets on the balconies and Frank and our grandson went
parasailing, too. So much to do at St. Pete Beach – it was
a great choice enjoyed by all 14 of us – not to mention Busch
Gardens and the Serengeti Safari feeding and touching the friendly
giraffes. P.S. the weather was PERFECT! Thank you so much, Frank
& Judy Powell, Honeoye
My trip to Southern Italy and Sicily was wonderful above and
beyond my expectations. Thank you for doing such a fabulous job
organizing every detail. I’m not sure how you factored in
the great weather (maybe divine intervention), but thanks for
that too. Your hard work really paid off for each one of us. Thank
you! Joan Roquez, Warsaw
Dear Judy: As Bill and I were going through some pictures
the other day, we came across an album from “our travels
with Judy”. So this note is to tell you how much we enjoyed
those bus trips (and miss them)!!) They brought back memories
of good times, good friends, laughter, so much fun, - always excellent
food and accommodations, - and you, Judy, who always took such
good care of us and made it a worry free trip.
Bill loved his “banter” with Wilda, and the fact
she had a rebuttal for whatever he throw at her! We think Stacy
and her son Tyler at maybe 5 or 6 when you let him take over the
microphone on the bus, and the day Stacy proudly stepped on the
bus to introduce us to her then infant daughter. So much time
has passed, but we like to think of you all as dear friends, -
so wanted to send our “thanks” and wish you all a very
“Merry Christmas”! Bill & Katie Dilgard, Dansville
In the past 18 years we have learned that Judy's Travel can
perform miracles and create memories. What we didn't know is that
Judy has a connection also with Mother Nature! According to our
tracking of the weather for our Alaskan cruise (Aug. 23-Sept.
7) it was rain every day. To our delight it rained only one day
in port that required ponchos, which was in Juneau. Our dog sled
ride (on wheels) was a little soggy, but the dogs didn't seem
to mind at all - and neither die we. Having done the interior
of Alaska in the past, now the coastal cities we feel we have
"seen" Alaska. Each have their challenges, way of live
and beauty abound. We were amazed at the changes in Ketchikan
as progress has changed the city so much. For us only Anchorage
and Ketchikan were repeats. We so enjoyed the pace of the cruise
as ports were not lumped together. There may have been two ports
together, but then a day at sea to get ready for the next adventure.
Traveled with two new couples (the Gillards & Alexanders)
to us, and a nice comfy pair of bedroom slippers (Judy & Gerald)
which made the trip even more memorable. We thank you for the
convenient pick-up and drop-off at the 390 Park 'n Ride in Avon.
Many thanks, Bob & Pat Richardson
Stacy, Just want to let you know our Ireland trip 9/3/15-
9/13/15 was wonderful. Globus did a great job and kept us busy
all the time. The best part was it didn’t rain the whole
time except on night in Waterford. Our tour guide and driver were
excellent. Sue & Bill Mombert
A very BIG thank you for a wonderful trip to Alaska! Everything
was GREAT !!!. The accommodations, the travel arrangements, the
excursions, the staff in all facets of the travel and the memories
(photos cuz I can't remember breakfast!!!) were all stupendous.
The weather cooperated, the flights smooth, the sailing restful.
(Haven't had a good nites sleep since return !!! Hmmm, what's that
mean....) Thank you again,Keith and Karen Alexander, Dansville
Dear Judy & Stacy, Once again, you have arranged for us
a fabulous trip that went without a hitch! All flights went smoothly
without so much as a lost bag. The Holland America accommodations,
food, guides, transfers, tours, cruise & crew (and did I mention
food?!) were superb. We were fortunate to have perfect weather,
even in Ketchikan. Mt. McKinley revealed itself to our tour group,
as did much wildlife in Denali National Park. We couldn’t
have done it without you, and we appreciate all your time and
efforts to make Alaska the best possible experience for us. Thank
you. Diane & Tim McCallum, Perry
Dear Judy, Russ & I would like to thank you for the many
years of motor coaching we did with you. We have great memories
of the many trips across the U.S.A. & Canada. We were in every
state with you except North Dakota, and many several times. We
so enjoyed each one and all because of you. We made so many friends
each trip that will last a life time. We truly understand why
you had to give the trips up. Family always comes first. It was
a lot of work and we really appreciated all of it. Russ &
Marie Nichols, Swain
Hi Judy, Just wanted to let you know that Colleen and I had
an awesome trip to BC and Alaska. From the moment we arrived in
Vancouver the HAL organization and staff were impressive. Upon
meeting the HAL rep at the Vancouver airport she welcomed us and
provided us with a cab to the Pan Pacific. Arriving at noon we
assumed we would have to find luggage storage for the afternoon
as check-in was at 4pm. We were pleasantly surprised that the
Pan Pacific allowed us to check in immediately. We then had the
afternoon to explore Vancouver and Stanley Park. Ended the day
with a great dinner at Prospect Point overlooking the Lions Gate
Bridge and Bay. The next morning we headed to Victoria and the
highlight of the trip for Colleen (Bouchart Gardens). The Empress
Hotel was impressive and they gave us a complimentary upgrade
to a larger room. The Dragon Boat Festival, Harbor, Fisherman's
Wharf and Victoria provided an amazing weekend prior to returning
to Vancouver for our cruise. Again HAL organization was amazing
processing through customs and boarding the ship. We were on board
by 12:30 and had the afternoon to explore the ship, have lunch,
etc. We were impressed with the variety of activities available
and friendly staff. Ate most of our meals in the Vista Dining
room and enjoyed meeting fellow travelers from around the world.
The first night we dined with a couple from Webster (small world).
Enjoyed all of our excursions and the weather couldn't have been
better. The trip to Denali was great and enjoyed our stay at the
McKinley Chalet & Tundra tour. Being able to see grizzly bears,
moose, eagles and whales, seals, etc. was awesome. We were able
to actually see Mt McKinley for two days before Obama changed
the name to MT Denali. Ended the trip in Anchorage and was able
to connect with my cousin who has lived in Palmer AK for about
40 years. Had a great visit with his family and learned about
what life is really like in Alaska. They live in a beautiful log
home and my cousins wife said as we left that we can now attest
that people in Alaska have flush toilets, electricity, gas heat,
etc. etc.
Alaska speaks for itself but as far as the HAL experience it could
not have been better. The staff was always friendly and the trip
organization was impressive in all respects. Just a note regarding
the post cruise dinner plan that we purchased. The meals at the
McKinley Chalet and on the McKinley Explorer were excellent. Our
last dinner voucher was for the restaurant at the Anchorage Hilton.
We were given a menu for Holland America Voucher Program that
was basically a lunch menu (hamburgs, etc.). Luckily we had a
great waitress who after speaking to her supervisor provided us
with regular dinner menu. We had a nice dinner but I would guess
that other HAL travelers were a little upset about the special
menu. I mentioned this in my HAL review that HAL needs to either
specify this menu restriction or speak with the Anchorage Hilton.
We also met Rod Perry ( Iditarod racer and author ) in Anchorage
and am looking forward to reading his books on the Great Alaskan
Dog Sled Race. Thanks for all the help with planning our trip.
Steve & Colleen Moultrup, Attica
Thank you, Stacy, for planning our trip to Disney World. Everything
went exactly according to the plans. We had a wonderful stress-free
vacation. We couldn’t have done it without you! Loretta Barrett,
Leicester
Hi Stacy.......just wanted you to know that we had a great
time on our Hawaiian cruise and can't imagine having planned it
on our own without your expertise. The "Pride of America"
is a beautiful ship, and the entire crew was so friendly and bent
over backwards to make sure everyone had a wonderful experience.
Aside from the entertainment, it was so educational learning about
the history of Hawaii through the excursions. Thank you so much
for your patient help in answering our questions. Hope we can
plan another trip in the not too distant future. Bonnie &
Jan Vrooman, Castile
Stacy, a quick note to tell you our cruise was wonderful ...
everything went very smoothly thanks to all that you do. Tom &
Bonnie Snyder, Dansville
I had a wonderful time cruising to Hawaii. The group was super
friendly and you and Gerald were very helpful when we had questions
and information about everything. Thank you for the wine and dinner
at Canaletto’s. Barb Dantz, Groveland.
You made my cruising to Hawaii something that I will always
cherish. It took me several days to be myself again. Thanks, again!
Marcella Covedill, Gainesville
Stacy, I just wanted to get in touch with you and tell you
we LOVED Punta Cana and the Grand Palladium Bavaro. Just wanted
to thank you again, you have never steered us in the wrong direction!
